Sometimes when I'm about to change my desktop wallpaper I think about those of others, what
kind of images are selected and why? Surely desktop wallpaper has in common with many other
visual elements that we use to choose in our personal lives sometimes unconsciously and
sometime deliberately, to select or at least represent our spirit, visual taste, and our
personality. In this regard, desktop wallpaper occupies the same kind of place as the furniture
in our house, the type of perfume we wear, our clothes, our make up, etc. Images that somehow
became invisible from the intensity of repetition in our everyday habits. Apparently the only
way for man to notice his accessories is feeling for change or lack of them. [Farsi Ver.]
Accordingly, I wanted to gather images of your computer screen. This open call is not based on
any public or private institutions or governmental organizations. This is only to pursue my
very personal research' purposes. That's why there is no competition and finally only a number
of selected images will be exhibited.
How to do it?
• Windows users can use PrtScn (Print screen) then paste into any graphics program. And
Mac users can use Command + Shift + 3 or Grab from the utility. (Preferably do not use camera)
• Save the image as a JPEG photo file format and rename it using your personal
information: Name, Age and location. Please do not change the image quality.
• For capturing desktop wallpaper classical aesthetic principles of photography are not
important.
• Avoid changing your original screen appearance and save the image which now you are
seeing in front of you, on your screen. Also avoid arranging your icons and leave them in the
place that they are used to be
